We are a small independent software studio. Tape Room is our first product, and it exists because of a problem every writer we know has: the best version of a song lives in a voice memo nobody can read.
Our story
Verse Forge started with a folder of 400 unlabelled voice notes. Hooks, half verses, melodies hummed over a kitchen radio — all of it real work, none of it readable, printable or sendable. Writing sessions kept beginning with twenty minutes of scrubbing through audio trying to remember what was already written.
So we built the thing that folder needed: record or upload a take, get the words back as a clean sheet broken into verses, choruses, hooks and bridges, edit it like a document, then hand it to a collaborator as a link or a PDF.
The parts writers push back on hardest are the parts we care most about. Transcription flags what it was unsure of instead of quietly inventing a lyric. Genre guides suggest section shapes rather than rewriting your lines. Nothing is public until you say so.
We are self-funded, we answer our own support email, and the roadmap is set by what writers actually ask for.

The take comes first
Every feature starts from the same moment: someone sings an idea into a phone at midnight. If a tool gets in the way of that, it does not ship.
Your words stay yours
We do not train models on your recordings, and we do not publish anything you have not chosen to publish. Private is the default for every song.
