Terms of service

These terms are between you and Verse Forge, the operator of Tape Room. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Tape Room.

You need an account to record, transcribe and publish. Keep your credentials secure and accurate; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

The free plan includes up to three songs and a limited number of transcriptions each month. Pro is billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment processor and renews automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges and your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect immediately and is pro-rated by the processor.

If you cancel and later exceed free-plan limits, existing songs stay accessible; creating new songs beyond the free limit requires an active Pro plan. Prices may change, but we will give notice before a change affects a renewal.

You keep all ownership of the audio, lyrics and sheets you bring to or create in Tape Room. We claim no ownership of your work.

You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service: to store, process, transcribe, format, export and — where you choose to publish — display your content on the song pages you create.

You confirm that you own or control the rights to everything you upload. Tape Room is for your own original or licensed material. Do not upload commercial recordings you do not control.

Do not use Tape Room to infringe anyone's rights, to upload unlawful, hateful or harassing material, to attempt to breach or overload the service, to resell the service, or to circumvent plan limits.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will act on valid copyright complaints sent to support@verseforge.app.

Automatic transcription and section detection are aids, not authorities. Output can be inaccurate, especially with unclear audio, and uncertain passages are flagged for you to review. Always check a sheet before relying on it or sending it out.

We work to keep Tape Room available and to protect your data, but the service is provided as is, without warranties. Features may change, and we may occasionally need maintenance downtime. Keep your own copies of anything critical — exports exist for exactly this reason.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Verse Forge is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using Tape Room and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or where required by law. Sections that by nature should survive termination will do so.

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date below and, where appropriate, notified by email. Questions go to support@verseforge.app.
